Stag & Moon Solid Oak Chopping Board – Woodland Deer Kitchen Board

The ancient imagery, myths and folklore surrounding the stag and the moon can be found throughout traditions and mythologies around the world. This beautiful combination of woodland symbolism and natural imagery inspired our Stag & Moon chopping board – a striking piece of kitchenware for anyone who loves deer, wildlife and the forest.

The majestic, antlered stag represents the active forces of nature and the forest, while the moon evokes intuition, the subconscious and the divine feminine. Together, they create a wonderfully atmospheric design that brings a touch of the woodland into your kitchen.

And, of course, it’s also a very beautiful chopping board!

A unique deer and woodland chopping board

Available in two sizes, this solid European Oak chopping board makes an eye-catching addition to a stylish kitchen. It can be used as a practical chopping board or displayed on its supplied stand as a distinctive piece of woodland-inspired kitchen décor.

• Medium: 23cm / 9.5″
• Large: 30cm / 12″
• Solid European Oak
• Supplied with a display stand
• Handmade and quality assured
• 100% sustainably sourced timber

The reverse of the board can be used as the cutting surface. Here you’ll find a beautiful engraved verse from Beneath the Stag Moon, attributed to a nameless author:

“He stands in pride, the forest King,
To hear the night-winds whispering,
Crowned in the light of July’s boon,
The sovereign of the ancient moon”

Beautifully made from sustainable European Oak

We select only the finest timber for our wooden chopping boards, choosing each piece for both its appearance and performance. Our timber is 100% sustainably sourced, making this a thoughtful choice for anyone looking for beautiful, responsibly made kitchenware.

This is an entirely natural product. We don’t use plastics or lacquers, and premium water-safe, food-contact-approved adhesive is used to ensure the board is completely food safe and made to last.

The board is treated with pure food-grade mineral oil blended with citrus oil, allowing the oil to penetrate deeply into the oak while leaving a subtle, fresh citrus scent.

A special gift for deer and woodland lovers

With its striking stag and moon design, this isn’t an ordinary chopping board. It’s a practical piece of kitchenware with the character of a piece of woodland art.

It makes a particularly memorable gift for deer lovers, wildlife enthusiasts and anyone who loves woodland-inspired interiors . Beautifully presented, it’s equally suited to birthdays, Christmas, housewarming gifts or simply as a special present for someone who appreciates handmade wooden kitchenware.

Care instructions

To keep your oak chopping board looking its best, simply wipe it clean with a damp cloth.

Do not put the board in the dishwasher. The same goes for any stag, moon or combination of stag-and-moon artwork – although, fortunately, those are rather harder to fit in there!
