DAYTIME DRESS

The bodice is made from a retro-inspired cotton fabric. The charming cherry print on a cobalt blue base gives it a whimsical feel, and the inside is neatly finished with 100 % plain blue cotton lining. The skirt is made of the same fabric as the bodice lining and is lined with white tulle. The back is secured with three poppers, and each is topped with a small red decorative button. The waistline is adorned with a narrow red picot braid, and the hemline with a red ric-rac. 

HAT

My lightweight boater hat was handcrafted, using traditional millinery methods. A continuous length of tan hemp braid was sewn in a spiral pattern to form the complete shape of the hat. A light blue, white, and red striped grosgrain millinery ribbon wraps around the crown of the hat with a handmade ribbon embellishment at the back. My hat features a charming retro touch with two vintage red cherry blossoms, three petite silk  millinery flowers, and a cherry cabochon, complemented by a delicate red braid finishing the interior.
